外国人旅行者等を対象に、気軽に日本の伝統文化を体験できるプログラムを実施します。ぜひご参加ください！
This workshop offers programs for foreign tourists so that they can experience various aspects of traditional Japanese culture in a casual atmosphere. Please come join the fun!

●染色体験 [新宿区染色協議会]
Fabric Dyeing Experience [Shinjuku city Dyeing Council]
11：30～16：00

新宿は染物のまちでもあります。絞り染めは日本を代表する着物の染め方です。
ハンカチに色をつけて、あなただけのオリジナルの美しい模様を作りましょう！作品は持ち帰ることができます。
Shinjuku is a town known for fabric dyeing. Tie-dyeing is a typical Japanese method of dyeing kimonos. Why not dye a handkerchief and create your own beautiful and original design? You can take home what you create.

Flower Arrangement Experience【Sogetsu style】

日本の伝統文化である生け花にふれてみませんか。
生け花は、季節の草木や花などの植物を器に飾る日本の伝統的芸術の一つです。
生け花の歴史と基本的な型についての講義の後、参加者に生け花を体験して頂きます。
初めての方にも優しくわかりやすく説明します。 作品の完成後、お花はお持ち帰り頂けます。
Would you like to learn about ikebana, the art of flower arrangement, which is a key facet of traditional Japanese culture?
Ikebana, the art of flower arrangement, is a traditional Japanese art in which plants such as seasonal greenery and flowers are arranged in a traditional vase. After you hear a presentation on the history and basic forms of ikebana, you can try creating your own ikebana. The method will be explained in a manner that even beginners can understand.

江戸時代から続く琴古流による尺八体験と虚無僧による演奏をお楽しみ頂けます。
Shakuhachi is a traditional woodwind instrument of Japan. It is made of bamboo and is similar to the flute.
You can enjoy a performance followed by a lesson on how to play the Shakuhachi.
