Fabric Dyeing Experience

インドから輸入された木版染め「インド更紗」は江戸の職人の手により進化し、型紙を使用して染める「江戸更紗」となりました。今回は、染色の原点ともいえる「木版染め」の工法をアレンジした「判子染め」でコースターを染めます。
The woodcut block dyeing style “Indian Calico” was originally imported into Japan from India. It was then later modified to utilize paper patterns by Japanese craftsmen during the Edo era and became what is now known as “Edo Calico.” This time, we will be dyeing coaster using the “Hanko Dyeing” process that evolved from the “Woodcut Block Dyeing,” which is said to be the origin of many dyeing styles.
从印度传入的木版染色“印度纱丽”，经江户工匠的手艺演变成使用图案纸染色的“江户纱丽”。这次，将用由染色起源的“木版染色”法发展的“判子木染”法染杯垫。

日本の伝統文化である生け花にふれてみませんか。
 生け花の歴史と基本的な型についての講義の後、生け花を体験して頂きます。初めての方にも優しくわかりやすく説明します。その後は、写真撮影などご自由にお楽しみください。
Would you like to learn about Ikebana, the art of flower arrangement, which is a key facet of traditional Japanese culture? Ikebana, the art of flower arrangement, is a traditional Japanese art in which plants such as seasonal greenery and flowers are arranged in a traditional vase. After you hear a presentation on the history and basic forms of Ikebana, you can try creating Ikebana. The method will be explained in a manner that even beginners can understand. Afterwards, please feel free to take a picture with your creation.
欢迎体验日本的传统文化插花。插花是将季节性的花草树木等植物装饰在器皿中的日本传统艺术之一。在介绍插花历史和基本模型等相关的讲解后，将由参加者体验插花。首次参加者将细致、简单易懂地进行说明。然后享受鲜花摄影。

長唄は江戸中期より歌舞伎や日本舞踊に欠かせない音楽として伝承されてきました。江戸の街の風情や風物を描いた作品が多く、繊細で華やかな旋律が特徴です。三味線を使う古典音楽の中で最も多く演奏されています。
※演奏終了後、演奏家により楽器の説明や質問をお受けします。
Nagauta is a music style that has accompanied the kabuki theater and other styles of Japanese dance and performance since the middle of the Edo era. Many works depict the atmosphere and features of the Edo City of old, and are characterized by delicate and enchanting melodies. They are typically played on the Shamisen when performed in the classical style.
Performance and Experience: About one hour per session
Note: After the performance, the players will talk about their instruments and answer your questions.
自江户中期以来，长歌作为歌舞伎和日本舞蹈不可缺的音乐传承下来。 作品大多描绘了江户市井的风情事物，旋律特点细腻而华丽，在古典音乐中使用三味弦演奏最多。
