To promote the city planning of a multicultural environment, Shinjuku City celebrated the September 1, 2005, opening of the Shinjuku Multicultural Plaza as a place where Japanese and foreign residents can have friendly exchanges and deepen their understanding of each other's culture and history.
At the plaza, you can do a variety of things, such as study the Japanese language and collect and exchange information on Japanese culture and local communities. As of April 2011, we have welcomed a total of approximately 120,000 visitors.
Please feel free to stop by for a visit! |
